Dr. Carmela Alcántara and Dr. Irene Perez Ibrarra of the School of Social Work will present a health talk that will provide information on the importance of sleep and its relationship to health, racial and ethnic differences in the prevalence of insufficient sleep and insomnia, effective treatments, as well as the option to learn about and participate in research studies on Latina/o sleep and health. In addition to an informational session, there will be an opportunity to be screened for insomnia at the end of the talk.
